Fun for the Whole Family

Hickory Falls features a variety of activities for the whole family! The entertainment center boasts an 18-hole mini golf course, indoor-outdoor go-karts, laser tag, rollerball bowling, an arcade, and an indoor play area. Hickory Falls is also the perfect place to host a birthday party! A 4000 sq. ft. ballroom named the Cascade Room was recently added to the property to accommodate larger events including wedding receptions, baby showers, and corporate events.

The Hanover Bowling Centre has remained a staple of the local community since 1957. This 60-year-old, family-owned venue boasts 40 lanes of bowling fun. The Hanover Bowling Centre also supports several leagues for both adults and youth. With a snack bar and plenty of lanes, the bowling center is a great location for birthday parties and family gatherings.

Fun in the Great Outdoors

Whether you are looking for excitement or relaxation, Codorus State Park is the place for you. Located about three miles southeast of Hanover, the park features 3,452 acres of forests, fields, wetlands, and Lake Marburg, a manmade lake. From water activities such as swimming, kayaking, and boating to land activities like hiking, disc golf, and camping, Codorus has a little bit of everything. The park also offers fishing and hunting during their respective seasons.

Go on a real-life treasure hunt in Hanover! The Hanover Geo Trail features over 20 caches located in Downtown Hanover, West Manheim Park and Codorus State Park. Official passports for the trail are available at the Hanover Chamber Office located at 146 Carlisle St. or at Additionally, commemorative coins are available for those who finish the 2016 Trail (as supplies last).

A trolley trail once ran from Hanover to York, but the growing popularity of the automobile eventually led to the demise of the trail. Now, the trail provides a place for people to walk, run, and bike while enjoying nature. A two-mile stretch of the trail is located in Penn Township and the Hanover Borough, extending from Cherry Tree Court to Gitts Run Road.

CrossFit Hanover has both classes and open gyms throughout the year for members. Marchio’s Sport Hut is a locally owned hunting and archery shop which offers indoor and outdoor activities on-site. The Sport Hut features three archery ranges – including a 12-lane indoor range – and a virtual reality hunting system. The Hanover Area YMCA offers a variety of programs ranging from youth and adult sports to personal growth opportunities. The sports programs include basketball, soccer, volleyball, and field hockey. The center also provides instructional and recreational aquatics and gymnastics classes.
