Experience History
The Chamber represents the Hanover community in the Civil War Trails: Prelude to Gettysburg project through the state. Hanover is one of seven communities (Gettysburg, Chambersburg, Carlisle, Rivertowns, York and Harrisburg) focused on engaging people in our community’s rich history and charming setting through historic walking tours, demonstrations and educational opportunities.
It is through this partnership that the Chamber is striving to achieve Preserve America status, a White House initiative with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation that recognizes exceptional efforts to use cultural and natural resources to promote tourism, revitalize the community, create jobs, and educate the public. This status will also provide the Chamber with grant opportunities to support future endeavors.
