As we begin the new year, the chamber will continue to find ways to develop talent for member employers. With full employment, it is a challenge to find employees with base skills, much less specific skills that are required for those in the manufacturing and health care industries.

The chamber plans to focus its efforts in high-demand occupations by partnering with businesses and educators to grow our local talent pipeline. The Hanover Area Apprenticeship Program will continue to grow throughout 2020, and a new healthcare track is being developed to support the needs of local healthcare providers.

The chamber's model is unique in that it is based on employer-driven collaboratives that determine how the talent development models are created and maintained.
