Welcome to the Chamber's new intern, Lola Garman!
Hi! My name is Lola Garman and I am the new intern for the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce. I have been working with the Chamber staff for about a month now and I have loved every minute of it. I will be helping with the Discover Hanover magazine, planning events, and more!
I am currently going into my senior year at Hanover High School. I like to keep myself busy with lots of school activities and sports. I play for the school varsity basketball team and am the goalie for our soccer team. I also hold the position of senior class president, the National Honor Society secretary, and I am a member of Student Council and Key Club. Along with sports, I am also involved in various different musical programs. I play the baritone saxophone and viola and am also involved in my school’s Steel Drum ensemble.
Outside of school, some of my favorite things to do are spend time with my family and friends, read, bake, and play with my dog. I also love to listen to some good old 70s music, such as Elton John, the Bee Gees, and similar artists. My little brother, Maverick, and I enjoy watching nature documentaries. My two older brothers and I have an affinity for Starbucks and enjoy taking trips there.
In my short time with the Chamber, I have already learned so many new things and useful skills that I wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. Though I am still undecided on where life may take me on this new and upcoming chapter, I will be considering a future in marketing and event planning. I can’t wait to continue my work with the Chamber, as they are all pretty awesome.
Gary Laird, Chamber President, says "it is great to have the opportunity to work with Lola. She is a very talented individual and will be a real asset to help support the development of 2022-2023 Discover Hanover magazine and support our event planning efforts."
Please join us in welcoming Lola to the Chamber!
