About Us
Mission: The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce delivers value to its members and advances the interests of the business community.
The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based organization that prospers through its partnerships with area schools, businesses and organizations. It is through these types of collaborations that the Chamber is able to provide its members with the tools they need to succeed in the Hanover area.
Over 90 percent of the Hanover Chamber’s membership is comprised of small businesses with 25 employees or less. More than half of the businesses that join the Chamber do so for the advertising and promotional opportunities; 38 percent join for networking. The Chamber serves these members by providing an array of quality products, programs and services, including health insurance, property and casualty insurance, educational workshops, networking and marketing opportunities, workforce development, and employment screening services.

Initiatives
We are dedicated to the continued improvement and revitalization of the Hanover area. As an organization, we strive to be an advocate and voice for the business community, working to promote legislation, enhance the local workforce, and spur economic growth.
Workforce Development
We partner with local schools and employers to recruit, train, and prepare individuals to join the workforce. Through our apprenticeship program, high school students have the opportunity to learn a trade and secure a position within one of our partner businesses.
Professional Development
Through our Leadership Hanover program, individuals can better know the Hanover area, network with key business men and women, and establish strong relationships with members of the community.
Economic Development
We partner with Main Street Hanover to revitalize and recruit businesses to our downtown. On a broader scale, our tourism brand, Discover Hanover, draws visitors from more than 50 miles away to shop, dine, and experience all that the Hanover area has to offer.
Advocacy
As a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, we are dedicated to providing our members with news about important legislation impacting the Hanover Area. We are actively involved with our local legislators as well, and provide quarterly opportunities to meet and chat at our Legislative Roundtables.
Ready to Join?
In the United States, there are approximately 7000 chambers of commerce. However, only 194 chambers hold the title of Accredited with an even smaller portion receiving 5-star Accreditation. This prestigious title is awarded to those who display an excellent quality of leadership and expertise under the Accreditation’s intensive program guidelines.
