2020 Hanover Dutch Festival Cancelled due to COVID-19
As of today, July 22, 2020, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the previously postponed Hanover Dutch Festival scheduled for September 26, 2020. This is the first time in 37 years that our organization has had to cancel this event.
We are heartbroken about this decision, so please keep your feedback positive. While many of you rely on this festival for fun with your family, we rely on it for revenue for our community initiatives. Cancelling this event as well as our Snack Town Brewfest will be a major hit to our organization's budget.
We made this decision for the safety of the community, our vendors, our staff, and our volunteers. Navigating the current COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health guidelines has proved to be quite challenging, and we simply cannot plan for an event this large (10,000+ people) while adhering to current restrictions.
For now, our plan is to start fresh in 2021. We will use this extra time to revamp our event, as the Hanover Dutch Festival has long needed some TLC. We are thrilled to be working on a new look and exciting new changes for 2021.
We look forward to seeing you next year! Until then, be well and be kind.
